The members of the welcoming committee not only look after the recruitment campaign, but they also ensure that new members are welcomed at the first activity they attend and introduced to business people with similar interests. It is an excellent way to break the ice and create a network of contacts.
Communication
This committee is responsible for the Interaction newsletter, the Web site, the business agenda and all other Chamber publications. Council of Governors
A place to meet and exchange information in an informal setting, the Council of Governors is made up of a « who's who » of West Island leaders, such as Past Presidents of the Chamber of Commerce, business owners and executives. The Council of Governors evaluates and seeks the opinions of the community and makes recommendations to the Chamber's Board of Directors in regards to the interests and concerns of the business community.
Commercial Benefits
This committee works to promote discounts on products and services for members of the Chamber. It relies on an exchange between members that recognizes the different skills of each person, and allows everyone to have access to products and services at special member prices.
